Die Liebe zur Elektronischen Musik entdeckte Josh 1992 bei ersten Besuchen in der legendären Basis Leipzig. Er fand schnell Gefallen an der Clubatmosphäre und war fasziniert von der Stimmung die dort herrschte. Damals noch als „Technokonsument“ packte ihn dann irgendwann die Lust selbst an den Tellern zu stehen und seine Erfahrungen mit dem schwarzen Gold zu machen. In Leipzig´s Plattenläden kaufte er seine ersten Platten und bekam dadurch mehr Kontakt zur Technoszene. Es folgten nach einigen Jahren der Selbstversuchung eigene Auftritte in diversen Location Leipzig´s und Umgebung. 2001 verließ Josh Leipzig und zog nach Schwerin, wo er schnell Anschluss zur hiesigen Technoszene fand. Am 25.8.2003 gründete er, aus einer eher spontanen Geburtstagsparty, mit Gleichgesinnten das Projekt Underground Basement. Es folgten Veranstaltungen im Café Amsterdam, Gerberei Garten / Beatclub, Buschclub, Komplex und anderen Locations. Im April 2006 hatte Josh seinen ersten Gig in der Gerberei Schwerin, in der er bis zur Schließung 2013 seine Platten drehte und sich zu den Residents zählen durfte.
In Sachen Producing blieb Josh natürlich auch nicht untätig. Durch Veröffentlichungen auf Kippschalter, Datalab Records, Ostwind Records, Amuse Gueule, Damm Records, Kondens, Kaputt Musik, M.M.A.D sowie auf Lordag machte er mit seinem Talent überregional auf sich Aufmerksam und stand in den Playlists angesagter DJs. Ob nun Deep House, Tech-House oder treibenden Techno – Versucht er viele Elemente unter einem Hut zu bekommen und seinen Tracks das gewisse Etwas zu verpassen.

Josh discovered his love for electronic music in 1992 on his first visits in the legendary Basis Leipzig. He soonly enjoyed the club atmosphere and got to know many like-minded people. At that time as a technoconsument he someday felt like making his own experiences with the so-called black gold and so he started to play records. In the X-Plode record shop in Leipzig he started to buy records and soon established more and more contacts to the techno scene. In 2001 Josh moved to Schwerin where he found good friends who accompany and support him up to know. As one of the founders of „Underground Basement“ he accomplishes his musical way and remains true to himself and the electronic music. In April, 2006 Josh had his first gig in the Gerberei Schwerin in which he turns till this day(so far) more often his records and may count himself meanwhile to the Residents.
In the matter of Producing Josh of course also remained not inactive. By releases on Kippschalter, Datalab Records, Ostwind Records, Amuse Gueule, Damm Records, Kondens, Kaputt Musik, M.M.A.D as well as on Lordag he made with his talent national on himself Carefully and stood in the Playlists of announced DJs. Whether to get now Deep House, Tech-House or propelling Techno – tried he many elements under a hat and to fit something his tracks certain.
